📜 Regulatory Standards & Merchant Compliance Notes

1. RBI Master Directions on UPI

Under Reserve Bank of India (RBI) circulars, the standard limit for P2P and standard P2M transactions is capped at ₹1,00,000 per 24 hours. Certain merchant categories (education, healthcare, capital markets) hold limits up to ₹5,00,000.

2. Sub-₹2,000 Zero Surcharge

As per Ministry of Finance & NPCI directives, small merchant payments below ₹2,000 carry a 0% Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) for standard bank account UPI transfers. This splitting algorithm protects merchants from interchange deductibles.

3. New GST Invoicing & Compliance

Merchants below ₹40 Lakh annual turnover (₹20 Lakh for services) operate tax-free without GST registration. Registered businesses can toggle 5% or 18% GST above, printing compliant tax invoices with dedicated customer & shop audit trails.
